Menuhin Christmas Concert                                                                                                     

Saturday, December 7th, 2024 -2:30PM SHARP START
Join us for Menuhin’s Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 7th at the Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH) at the Bermuda High School (BHS).  The concert starts at 2:30PM.  Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for Students/Seniors.  Cash sales only.  If you would like to purchase your tickets beforehand, they are available at the Tutti Tuck Shop open during Menuhin’s orchestras (Saturdays from 10am to 1pm) outside of the Menuhin orchestra room (at BHS).

 

Notice to Parents

With only a few weeks remaining until Menuhin’s 2024 Christmas Concert, there is still much to do. The children have all worked hard and are eagerly looking forward to showcase their orchestra pieces in front of family and friends. Please carefully review the following important information:

 

Attendance 

Students are requested to arrive at the Queen Elizabeth Hall promptly at 2:00 PM, dressed in concert attire and equipped with their instruments and sheet music. When not performing, students will be seated on the benches located on both sides of the auditorium.

The concert will commence promptly at 2:30 PM. We kindly request your presence until the concert concludes, as we have arranged for a group photo session afterwards.

 

Rehearsal 

Rehearsals will be held during the regular Orchestra session on the day of the concert. We kindly request that you ensure your child arrives no later than 10 minutes prior to their rehearsal time, equipped with the appropriate music and instrument. This will allow us to efficiently guide the students to the Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH).

First Orchestra 9:30-10:30 AM                         

Intermediate Orchestra 10:45-11:45 AM                 

Youth Orchestra 12:00-1:00 PM 

                    Quartet Ensemble 1:00-1:55 PM  (at the music room)

 

Concert Attire 

First Orchestra – school uniform

Intermediate Orchestra – black skirt/trousers and white top

Youth Orchestra – all black (ladies, skirts below the knee, no low-cut tops)

***All may wear Santa hats if they wish.

 

Parking 

There is no parking at the BHS Richmond Road car park. Please park in the BHS car park on Serpentine Road where you normally park on a Saturday morning and walk around through the playground.  Do not go up the steps to orchestra, turn right and follow the pathway around to get to Queen Elizabeth Hall.  There will be signs posted.

 

Volunteers Needed

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist us with tickets, ushering and photography during this event. If you are interested in lending a hand, please click HERE  if you wish to help. Your support would be greatly appreciated.  We request for volunteers for Ticket Booth, Ushers, and Photography/Video – we ask these volunteers to be at QEH at 2:00pm.  We also require help to pack away music stands and chairs after the concert.
